Montgomery Canal Restoration Archive - Crickheath
2006 to 2007
The Society held a preliminary work party at Crickheath in February 2006 to clear the canal sufficiently for an engineering inspection to be carried out. This revealed that much more work was necessary than had originally been expected; walls needed to be rebuilt and the canal bed itself needed waterproofing. We rebuilt the wharf wall and constructed a new visitor mooring, both on the offside to the north of the bridge.
